Buisness in Puerto Rico - transportation ? beaches ? food ?
Any websites that can lead me to the best beaches as my time will be pressed……….Coming from Acapulco and Mexico so I’m looking for some killer beach’s on this whirlwind tour…………….
I am doing a little business trip to Puerto rico.Actually going down to look for a job. I’m on a limited budget so I want a cheap hotel close to the train system and again CHEAP.
I have already got the address’s of all the shops I need to visit.Most all are in and around San Juan so I’m hoping to land at the airport and then look for a hotel and hit the streets and shops with my resume and smile……….. My thinking is to use the train to get as close as I can and then hailing a cab from the train .Whats a average 5 to 10 mile cab fare ?
Anybody have a link to all the stops and streets of the train system and San Juan ?
Cheap hotel to lay my head at night ? Hope I can find some type of dive for $30 - $40 a night……………….

Staying for a week and need to travel from Carolina , Hato Rey, Rio Piedras , Toa Baja , Contano , Bayamon, Levitown……….They are within say , 30 , 45 minuets in and around san Juan , yes ? Will the train / cab thing work out pretty well - Rental car is not an option - unfortunately

i live in Puerto Rico. There is only one train "tren urbano’ it doesn’t have many convenient stops, so you would probably have to take a bus or taxi( buses might take a long time to get there). good luck !

Hi!! I know that you said car rental is not an option, but if you are planning on visiting those towns then that might be your best and only option, because the public transportation systems (train and bus) are not reliable. The train only go a few miles and the bus will take forever. So money wise and time wise it might be better to just rent a vehicle as cabs are a bit expensive. I think that Charlie Car Rental might have the cheapest fares. Check out the Puerto Rico Company of Tourism website… it might have some valuable information.
