A little info about this slideshow:
We were closing down one of our corporate offices in San Francisco and intended to drive it back to Utah. Along the way, we encountered a slight problem. Next thing we knew, thick black smoke was pouring in the cabin. We got out fairly quickly and waited for help. Nobody got hurt. We unloaded one fire extinguisher on this inferno but it didn’t even make a dent. 20-25 minutes later the F.D. came, but by that point, this was a writeoff. We were literally in the middle of nowhere. This happened at Donner’s pass about 45 minutes west of Truckee, California. The California Highway Patrol was kind enough to give us a ride back to Truckee where we rented a one-way car and went to Reno. From there we got a one-way ticket back to Salt Lake City. We lost our luggage in the fire. To soften the trauma on the 8 year old, we took him bowling. Ironically they gave free socks with the rental of some shoes, which did make us laugh pretty hard.
Insurance did reimburse our loss.

Unfortunately, not all people can own this baby. But you dont need to have that much money to be able to race it. In Las Vegas, there are places where you can find it and drive it with a price. Exotic car rentals are quite known in Sin City. And what better way to indulge than to call up one of these car rental services and find if it is available. You dont have to be as rich as Bill Gates to afford it.
There are some companies that charge hourly rates if you just want to ride around it. Some of them even approve of you taking it out of the city as long as you have a written recommendation and that you wont be running into Mexico anytime soon. Choose services that take good care of their cars. The better the engine, the nicer it would be to drive it.
This cars history is worth every penny, as it is famous for a lot of things, aside from the name itself. Just being able to drive it is accomplishment enough, not everyone gets to do that. Even if its just from a car rental, it doesnt mean its value is less. The experience itself is worth more than life itself.
So if you think you cant get to drive the Jaguar XK 120, then just look around first. You dont even need to buy it. Just head to Las Vegas and see if you can find an exotic car rental with this in it.
Nascar might be out of reach, but heck, that doesnt change the mind of speed demons. As long as its fast, they are contented, or are they? Maybe even the speed of the fastest car in the world is not enough. If it would be possible, they would try to go at the speed of light, maybe only then they can find their real happiness.

The National Rental Affordability Scheme (NRAS) is a long term commitment by the Australian Government to invest in affordable rental housing.
The Scheme seeks to address the shortage of affordable rental housing by offering financial incentives to the business sector and community organisations to build and rent dwellings to low and moderate income households at 20 per cent below-market rates for 10 years. NRAS aims to:
• increase the supply of new affordable rental housing;
• reduce rental costs for low and moderate income households; and
• encourage large scale investment and innovative delivery of affordable housing.
The Australian Government has committed $1 billion to the Scheme over four years to stimulate construction of up to 50,000 high quality homes and apartments, providing affordable private rental properties for Australians and their families.
